10. The Judas Kiss
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mK3LHSg0jY 2008's Death Magnetic may have been toned down in terms of the level of complexity one Cliff Burton brought to the band, but that didn't mean there weren't some absolute ragers on there too. Judas Kiss is one such barnstormer, with some fantastically genre-commanding lyrics from Hetfield, where he professes "Bow down. Sell your soul to me, I will set you free, pacify your demons" as if commanding the legions of metalheads that had waited for the five years it took for the album to drop. Throw in a solo absolutely drenched in wah-pedal juice and this was Metallica back on fine form indeed.
