MF DOOM Albums Ranked From Worst To Best
6. Operation: Doomsday
After Daniel's former rap group KMD was disbanded due to the death of his brother, Dingilizwe, as well as controversy surrounding their political messages and album art, he took a years-long hiatus from rap before finally storming onto the scene to seek revenge on the rap game as his new, mask-wearing persona: MF DOOM.
The album was not an instant ticket to stardom but was critically acclaimed and lead to DOOM being signed to a record label. Nowadays the album is viewed as a cult classic that, although on the underground side of rap, has inspired countless artists and revolutionized rap.
This album gives us an introduction to MF DOOM's cocky, villainous character and establishes the classic DOOM lyrical flow that we all know and love. It also shows off DOOM's insane production skills. All in all, this album is a perfect introduction to DOOM but not his best work as he was constantly learning and growing as an artist and improving his craft over time.
