Myles Kennedy's 10 Most Impressive Vocal Moments

2. Summergirl - The Mayfield Four (Second Skin)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymMs0bD9w0k Oh Myles God At: 3:44 Over to what's one of the saddest songs Myles has ever written, assumedly about a friend or loved one who passed away, it's a heart-wrenchingly beautiful description of someone who was taken from this world too soon. It might not make for repeated easy listening, and it's definitely subject matter that bares something of a resemblance to AB III bonus track Never Born To Follow which follows a similar theme, but the sheer prowess and mastery of vocal technique on display is breathtaking. Lasting around 30 seconds it's a real lung-strainer, and just when you think Myles is going to give himself a break he goes even higher, before ending on a descending section that closes out the song. Although it's not widely known exactly who this song was written for or about, they've definitely been immortalised on-record through such an amazing performance.
