2. Producer Steve Albini Wasn’t A Fan Of Nirvana
When legendary punk rock producer Steve Albini was asked to come in, he originally wasn't a fan of the band, claiming to only do it because he felt bad for them.
He was paid a flat fee of $100,000 and chose to opt out of receiving a percentage of royalties from future sales.
Nirvana's management urged him to accept something for his work, but Alibini believed it was unfair to the band to collect royalties on their album sales, and saw it as an insult to the artist.
