Oasis: Ranking Every Album From Worst To Best
6. Dig Out Your Soul (2009)
This album became the band's unintended swan song once the Gallaghers broke up the band while on tour to promote this record. So how well does this album bookend Oasis discography?
With this record, fans saw the band getting a bit more edgy in their older age. The guitars on several songs are tuned down and have more grit and distortion, especially on songs like "Bag It Up" and "The Nature of Reality." The album also goes for an almost psychedelic tone with songs like the drone-like "To Be Where There's Life" and "Soldier On."
Noel goes for more experimental soundscapes on songs like "Falling Down" while Liam writes his greatest song for Oasis, "I'm Outta Time." Andy Bell's cut "The Nature of Reality" is the nastiest that this band has ever sounded in the 2000s.
At the time, this record stood as another solid entry in the catalog of Oasis' later years. If fans had only that these times were not meant to last that much longer.
