Oasis: Ranking Every Album From Worst To Best
5. Don't Believe The Truth (2005)
After a few years on the road, Oasis bounced back with an album that is the closest they have come to capturing the spirit of their glory years.
The band had a great chemistry between members at the time and each were coming up with great songs that fit well into the Oasis aesthetic. While Noel makes great English pop on "The Importance of Being Idle" and "Let There Be Love," Andy Bell's "Turn Up the Sun" and "Keep the Dream Alive" establish a more ethereal tone. Liam's offerings are the antithesis, with songs like the dreamy distaste on "Guess God Thinks I'm Abel" and the borderline punkish "The Meaning of Soul."
The album has a great flow to it, with each song complimenting each other perfectly. In an age where many members worried about getting one song on radio, Oasis created an album experience they had not seemed to be capable of since their creative peak in the 90s. Give this one a listen if you've been sleeping on it. The truth must be heard to be believed.
