Oasis: Ranking Every Album From Worst To Best

3. Definitely Maybe (1994)

Behold: this is the album the Oasis empire was built upon. The strength of this album will blow you away from back to front. Got an itching for insane rockers? Try on "Rock and Roll Star" or the punk tune "Bring it On Down." Looking for earnest ballads? Take the almost-closer "Slide Away" (still Liam's greatest vocal.)

The album also features the song that would become the band's mission statement, "Live Forever," a song that could possibly go down as the greatest Oasis song ever written. The album's essence is also encapsulated perfectly on the attitude-filled singles "Supersonic" and "Cigarettes and Alcohol."

But even at this stage in their career, the Gallaghers knew that they were destined for even greater things. Things that were more timeless, more earnest, more...BIBLICAL! And we would not need to wait much longer to see what they would come up with.
