Radiohead: Every Album Ranked From Worst to Best

2. Ok Computer (1997)

1225212-radiohead-ok-computer I'll try to keep this entry as short as possible but I could talk about the brilliance of this album for a series of books. Ok Computer is generally regarded to be one of the best albums of the 90s, if not the best, so its reputation certainly precedes itself. It is just amazing to think that it is a record by the same band that made Pablo Honey and The Bends because it is miles ahead of anything they had done prior. The album opens with Airbag which is an incredible song that leaves you wondering how in the world they're going to follow it then Paranoid Android starts and the listener is sent on a musical odyssey unlike any before while the rest of the record just gets stronger and stronger. The record has moments of pure joy like Subterranean Homesick Alien, Let Down, Karma Police, Electioneering and Lucky while also giving the listen some beautifully somber moments like Climbing up the Walls, No Surprises, Exit Music (For a Film) and The Tourist. No song or moment is out of place on Ok Computer and it has endless replay value. When you come away from the record you always feel as though you've done more than just listened to music. You feel like you've actually experienced something and the record takes you on a journey from the opening distorted guitars of Airbag to the final ding at the end of The Tourist. Ok Computer is one of those records that will be listened to as a classic for much longer than Radiohead themselves exist. Key Tracks- All of them

My favorite movies are Before Sunrise, Pulp Fiction, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alien and Her so don't be surprised to see those pop up in my writing from time to time. I'm currently in school for Journalism/English and I have an obsession with all things cinematic on the side.
