Radiohead: Every Album Ranked Worst To Best
2. OK Computer
What is there to say about OK Computer that hasn't been said a thousand times over? Pablo Honey and The Bends seemed to cement Radiohead as another solid rock band on the alternative scene, but OK Computer saw them completely reinvent and improve themselves to an almost unbelieve degree.
Three albums in, and the band were already done being complacent, and in hopes of stretching their creative muscles, they used OK Computer to put together a host of songs no one was expecting.
Taking influence from the likes of DJ Shadow and Phil Spector, the record is a sonic odyssey through alienation, despair, and relatable hardships. It's like a sci-fi epic, all electronic bursts of hypnotic sound, set to sad lyrics and brought to life by elegant production.
Though far from an easy listen, OK Computer is Radiohead's creative peak; they're most daring, challenging, enthralling classic.
Whether you're listening to Yorke's anguish on Karma Police or Subterranean Homesick Alien, or revelling in the sweeping sounds of Electioneering, OK Computer is a wholly unique experience that only Radiohead could conjure.
