Radiohead: Every Album Ranked Worst To Best
1. In Rainbows
The Bends is anthemic alt-rock at its finest. OK Computer is genre-switching majesty with unforgettable themes. A Moon Shaped Pool is one of the great breakup albums of the 2010s. But Radiohead's best album, despite the competition, has to be In Rainbows.
In Rainbows represents every side of the band's creative output. It's at once angsty, experimental, moving, catchy and wholesome. It offers such a warm, calming listening experience that it's simply impossible to forget, and destined to be return to time and time again.
From the opening drums of 15 Steps to the poignant lyricism of All I Need, House of Cards and Nude - the latter of which could well be the band's most haunting song - In Rainbows hooks you into a bearhug and refuses to let go. But because it's so effortless in the themes and sounds it incorporates, you don't want it to.
In Rainbows is sad but soothing, raging but composed, and it represents the very best of what Radiohead have to offer.
