Ramones: 15 Best Songs (That Weren't From The Original Lineup)

11. I Don't Want To Grow Up

Album: Adios Amigos (1995)

Lineup: Joey, Johnny, Marky, C.J.

The first track on the Ramones' final album, Adios Amigos, was an absolutely fantastic cover of Tom Waits' I Don't Want to Grow Up.

In this song, the Ramones keep the tone, feel, and message of the song one hundred percent in tact while also making sure to put their own unique stamp on the song with their distinct musical style.

A song that deals with the harsh realities of growing older and potentially becoming the very thing you despise, I Don't Want to Grow Up was a delightfully bittersweet addition to the iconic band's last studio release before they prepared to pack things up after nearly two decades as a band.

Adios Amigos had plenty of great songs that helped the Ramones go out with a bang (including one we'll get to soon), but given both its subject matter and exceptional quality, I Don't Want to Grow Up is arguably the most meaningful.
