A tribute to the late Paul Walker, this track was released in conjunction with Walker’s final film, Fast & Furious 7. The film itself proved to be the third biggest release of 2015, grossing more than $1.5 billion at the box office. Since its release in April 2015, See You Again has amassed more than 4 billion views and is the only film tie-in on this list.
Directed by Marc Klasfeld, the video depicts shots of Wiz Khalifa walking down a highway as Charlie Puth sings the chorus whilst playing a piano set between 2 cars. Footage from the film is interspersed throughout the video. It ends on the final scene of the movie with lead character Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Walker’s Brian O’Connor (his brother, Cody Walker, fills in the role) driving together before parting ways on separate roads. The video then cuts to a white screen and the words For Paul appear.
See You Again became the second ever video to surpass 2 billion views and is now among the 5 videos to have reached the 4 billion mark.
