OK Go: Every Concept Video Ranked From Worst To Best

3. White Knuckles

Performers should never work with children or dogs. That's a lesson handed down from actors generations ago. But OK Go broke that rule for "White Knuckles" and they broke it hard.

The idea came about following the outrageous success of the "Here It Goes Again" video, but this time Damien Kulash's sister (who directed both videos) wanted the band to act as the machinery, rather than putting them back onto treadmills for a sequel. So once the Of the Blue Colour of the Sky album was finished, the Kulashes had their dogs listen to each song, and handpicked "White Knuckles" for the way it synched up with their playful actions.

With no cuts or editing to help cover up the blemishes, the band worked with a number of trained dogs and one goat (watch the video again if you missed the cameo) to create a doggy dance routine involving some simple props. Dogs are running around their legs, in and out of bookshelves, and jumping over the camera.

Think about that: Each of the many dogs (and goat) in this video had to perform the routine exactly right, otherwise the take would be blown. Luckily, the trainers on set were on top of it. Well, mostly.
