OK Go: Every Concept Video Ranked From Worst To Best

5. This Too Shall Pass (Rube Goldberg Machine)

There are technically two videos for "This Too Shall Pass," one of which was filmed with a live marching band. But we're going to look at the version that's been scientifically proven to be radder.

Remember how at the beginning of Pee Wee's Big Adventure, he starts up The Breakfast Machine, an overly complicated invention that makes his bacon and eggs with a series of pinwheels, hamster tunnels, and a statue of Abraham Lincoln? That's called a Rube Goldberg Machine, and is famous for being ridiculously complex, just for the sake of it.

But the lads in OK Go found an excellent use for it: Making a killer music video. It perhaps the most elaborate way to get the guys into some mad scientist get-ups and splatter them with paint that could have possibly been devised.

This is one of the very few OK Go videos that isn't entirely one interrupted shot. There's one small edit made (around the 2:30 mark) because the camera couldn't quite keep up. It's hidden very well, though.
