Red Hot Chili Peppers: Every Unlimited Love Song Ranked Worst To Best

5. Poster Child

Poster Child hears the Chili Peppers doubling down on the funk-rock sound they've become known for. This is what people who aren't familiar with Red Hot Chili Peppers, think they sound like all the time.

The sound of funk, jazz, and '70s R&B is fused perfectly on this groove. If there was any doubt these guys were devotees of acts like Parliament-Funkadelic or James Brown, then those doubts are laid to rest with this track.

They haven't released something this smothered in funk, since George Clinton produced Freaky Style for them in 1985. Rather than playing funk, with all the ferocity of a bunch of punks with something to prove, however, they've slowed things right down, and let the groove, rather than speed, do the talking.
