Red Hot Chili Peppers: Every Unlimited Love Song Ranked Worst To Best

4. It's Only Natural

Flea has a lot of big moments on this record but this is his crowning glory. His effortlessly cool, meandering bass, instantly reminds you why this guy is considered one of the best in the business.

There's nothing overtly flashing about it, but the way gets from one note to another, bouncing and popping around the fretboard, is as satisfying as anything you've heard before. He's taken a riff, that if played fast could be a disco jam from the '70s, but he's slowed it down, making this the most relaxed yet purposeful track on the album.

Frusciante also delivers some of his silkiest guitar lines, there's plenty of reverb, making it just as ethereal as any from his psychedelic solo album, The Empyrean (2009).
