Red Hot Chili Peppers: Every Unlimited Love Song Ranked Worst To Best

6. Here Ever After

Here Ever After is an early example of just how hard these guys go on this record. Following on from Black Summer, it doesn't let the energy drop for a moment. Flea's rumbling bass is relentless and the drums compliment it perfectly, with an insistence on forward momentum.

Frusciante starts dominating the mix with more deliberate and prominent guitar hooks, seeing the track out with a reserved but tantalising lead part, reminiscent of the more evocative sounds on 1999's Californication.

Anthony Keidis' signature, staccato vocal delivery, slots right into the mix, regaling the audience with references to an unnamed romantic interest, with a penchant for excitement. There's the confidence of Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991), with the reserved subtlety of By The Way (2002) .
