6. The Lounge Kittens
Twitter/TheNoiseCartelWith BabyMetal and Chas & Dave already mentioned, this run-down is in danger of becoming all about the gimmicks, but there's a good reason the biggest and most flamboyant acts are often the most memorable at festivals. The vast intake of episodic musical chapters is always in danger of turning into the headliners and everything else slightly less memorable, so breaking things up with things like the Lounge Kittens is always a good idea. Making a splash at the front of Limp Bizkit's set to tease their version of Rollin', which turned them into an internet sensation earlier this year, the glamorous, geeky trio returned to play their own evening set on the Satellite Stage on Saturday. They might only have been around since February when they released their first video but judging by their infectious brand of harmonies and pin-up attitudes, they're bound to go far. And you can expect a more diverse experience, since the trio openly admit they would cover anything, as they proved in their all too set in front of a very enthusiastic crowd.
