Amplifier Echo Street
Amplifier are one of the Britian's most under appreciated pleasures. Realistically a band who should be up there with the Biffy Clyros and Mogwais. They bring a blend of Post-Rock and Post-Rock that would pleasure the ears of any joe-public individual who has any remote interest in rock, arguably our modern day Pink Floyd. The Octopus received rave reviews, so it was always going to be a tough job following it up. But Amplifier succeeded with flying colours and have maintained a signature sound that never sounds tiresome or repetitive, which is always going to be a hard job when you write 7-12 minute long songs! Being a band that pretty much support themselves financially, there is nobody on this list that deserved one of those crucial nominations more than this band, and I can only that somebody else with a powerful voice in the media gives them the nod that they earned a long time ago.
