There's no fancy light show. There isn't a giant monitor for people who don't want to look at the stage. There really isn't much at all except for a handful of passionate musicians with their instruments. The Revival Tour shows that, when it comes right down to it, you don't really need anything other than that. There's an intimacy in the performances that would be hard to replicate. The venues are smaller than what a lot of artists on the tour would probably play in their respective bands, but it fits the more personal feel of an all-acoustic concert. Yes big shows are fun, and there's an excitement that comes from loud music - but there's also something very special about just a person and their guitar. There's something unique about being close enough to engage in conversation with the performer between songs.
