The Revival Tour: 5 Reasons That It's The Best Gig In Music

3. Crowd Interaction

Crowd

There is an interpersonal element to being in attendance at The Revival Tour that reminds you of why you listen to these bands in the first place. It's small. It's up close and personal. It's the perfect environment for not just an all acoustic collaboration, but for a show in general. High paid, well known touring bands performing in giant, sold out arenas is just so distant. When there's 30,000 plus in one place, listening to a band that's hundreds of feet away on a distant stage, there is little to no feeling of intimacy. If you're devoted enough to catch the same band twice in one tour there's also the risk of hearing the same exact set list multiple times. The Revival Tour does things differently in that, while set lists are utilized, deviations from what has been planned are not unusual. The musicians all tour together so they are constantly changing things up, or getting new ideas. Performers might jump on stage during a song they haven''t previously collaborated on during the tour, whether rehearsed prior to the show or not. This also opens up the possibilities for a concert behavior that might otherwise be considered rude or annoying during larger shows - shouting requests. Depending on who is performing depends on their flexibility - some might shrug off requests, others might take it into consideration, while there are some who will immediately oblige the audience.
