THE WANTED Make US TV Debut on Ellen: Watch It Here

Boy-band launch their attempt to Break America on The Ellen DeGeneres show. We have the video here.

British music acts, and particularly groups, tend not to travel so well across the Atlantic, with uninspiring sales and longevity attaching further stigma to the term "Breaking America", which now seems to require a Herculean marketing effort in its own right. Rather than allowing the music to speak its own volumes, pop acts re-start their career on the other side of the world from zero to engage with an audience of new fans with an aggressive publicity campaign. And here is how The Wanted's Attack On America has kicked off - with a TV appearance on Ellen, singing their number one single "Glad You Came" in front of an enthusiastic audience, some of whom were lucky enough to get a kiss from the fivesome. http://youtu.be/O_aY4Y9sMIg After the performance, the lads spoke to host Ellen DeGeneres about their supposed bad-boy reputation, and confirmed that they saw their foray into the American market as an exciting prospect thanks to the abundance of beautiful ladies. The scoundrels: straight out of the Russell Brand book of sexually-laced charm... The band are already known in the US having supported Justin Bieber's South American tour, and can already count on a fledgling fanbase on the other side of the Atlantic, which might see them recapture some of the success they have so far enjoyed in Europe.
