The Wanted to Perform on American Idol

Band announce they will make a guest appearance on the US show next month.

The Wanted have announced that they will make a guest appearance on an episode of American Idol next month. Speaking via their official group Twitter, they confirmed that they will perform on the show on the 5th April. This is just one of the big surprises that the band have announced in the last few weeks. Earlier this week, they revealed the track-listing for their debut US album. It will see some of the UK fans' favourite tracks including All Time Low and Lightning sit alongside their debut US single, Glad You Came. Two new tracks, Chasing the Sun and Satellite, will appear on the seven track album. Fans will also be able to purchase a special edition, which includes three more tracks. The Wanted will be released on the 24th April, with their third US single, Chasing the Sun, released the week before on the 17th April. Glad You Came has been certified platinum in the US with over 1,000,000 sales. On the 23rd March, the boys were handed an award at their exclusive Z100 show at the iHeartRadio Theatre to commemorate this. The popular song peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and was performed by the Glee cast on a recent episode. On the UK front, after an almost-sold-out arena tour, fans will be anticipating the boys' return to the UK to perform at the Olympic Torch route relay concert in Hyde Park, London. The event, sponsored by Coca Cola, will also see performances from Dizzee Rascal and You Me At Six. Tickets cost £15 plus booking fee and are available on Ticketmaster now.
