5. Puddle Of Mudd - She Hates Me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYE4CVhVkhw A song of rejection, abuse, and being treated unfairly by a loved one makes this a classic no-no this February 14th. The song was written in 1993 - long before the band were ever fronted - by lead guitarist Jimmy Allen. He wrote the track about a relationship which went sour but his girlfriend of the time ended up apologising for her behaviour and encouraged him to get a job and stop being a musician. A few years later Allen's band not only found major label success with a signing to Fred Durst own Flawless label but also released the track to critical acclaim. You can't be more obvious how anti-love this song truly is. On the plus side this is a great song for those filled with self-pity or loathing for that cheating partner. If your partner's cheating - and you know it - why not play with their head with a spot of Mudd? It might make you feel better and will surprise them with an extra special Valentines neither they nor the new object of their affections will be likely to forget.
