Valentine's Day: 20 Greatest Love Songs Of All Time

15. "Baby I Love Your Way" - Peter Frampton

http://youtu.be/DTKc7_m5rkI Whisper Peter Frampton€™s name to anybody over the age of 40 and they get that far-away stoned look. Probably because they were stoned when Frampton dropped Frampton in 1975 and Frampton Comes Alive! in 1976. €œBaby, I Love Your Way€ had two lives as a hit record. It peaked at #12 on the Billboard lists the first time around. Then, in 1994, a little film called Reality Bites (which captured the malaise of Generation X in Ethan Hawkes€™ greasy hair and smoldering eyes) revived the song by featuring a cover by the reggae group Big Mountain. Please don€™t listen to this version. Frampton€™s own version has a great, stripped down feel and his natural inflection gives the song a breezy quality. Big Mountain€™s is a cheesy faux reggae-style mess done by a group from San Diego. There€™s even a 90€™s style saxophone solo.
