Valentine's Day: 20 Greatest Love Songs Of All Time

14. "Sweetest Taboo" - Sade

http://youtu.be/kcPc18SG6uA Two of the definitions of the word €œtaboo€: 1) forbidden because of what are held to be dangerous supernatural powers, 2) banned as constituting a risk (Merriam-Webster). Yep, sounds like love to me. Maybe that€™s why the song resonates with so many people; it captures the push-and-pull of love. If I tell you/ If I tell you now/ Will you keep/Will you keep on loving me? Throw in a little self-deprecation (Sometimes I think you€™re just too good for me) and obsession (I€™d do anything for you/I€™d stand out in the rain) and it could be the collective love lives of the women on the Bachelor. Even with the lyrics, the song still goes down smooth, Sade€™s voice just has that quality about it, and her backing band is phenomenal.
