With YBN Cordae being one of the most likely people to make it onto the list, there is a high probability that his fellow YBN core member Almighty Jay will also be involved. The rapper is probably seen as the weakest member of the group which does cast some doubt over his inclusion. However, it would be easier for them to include him alongside Cordae to make him feel more at home.
Jay is perhaps known more for his news coverage than his music. He was in a lot of headlines in 2018 for briefly dating Blac Chyna who was 12 years older than him. Recently he was in the news when he was caught in a street fight in New York, resulting in the scar on his face shown in the picture above. XXL tend to stay away from controversial figures, seen last year when Tekashi 6ix9ine didn't make the list but the controversy around Jay is minor enough for them to give him a chance.
His most viral hit is the song Chopsticks which sits at over 15 million views on youtube, meaning that he certainly would be popular enough for the list. As well as this, the idea of Cordae and Almighty Jay collaborating on a cypher is an interesting prospect, especially considering most of Almighty Jay's songs are collaborative with Nahmir, not Cordae.
