Given the usually dreadful British weather in the winter it could be considered to be a strange decision for any ice cream chain to move to the UK. But let us remember that the United States has similar weather in the northern part of the country and it should be a matter of surviving the winter and letting the summer subsidise the year round takings. But why Cold Stone Creamery? Well, they have a fantastic gimmick. You know how in normal parlours you choose your ice cream and then you can ask for toppings on it? Well with Cold Stone they place the ice cream onto granite and chop and mix the toppings into it, creating something special.
