Wendy's was previously in the UK during the 1990s, but withdrew overnight with the exception of a restaurant at Heathrow Airport that lasted for a few more years. The quality of the burgers was better than you find in McDonalds or Burger King at the time, but they had a number of loss leading restaurants and simply couldn't compete at their price point.
