10 Awesome Playgrounds That Will Make You Want To Be A Kid Again
1. Water Playground - Tychy, Poland
This quirky water playground was built in 2012 in Tychy, Poland. Architect, RS+, designed the play area around the flora that already existed in the park. These trees also provide shade during the summer when the playground is frequented by local tots. Water features abound, including a central waterfall that resembles a bouquet of flowers from Horton Hears a Who.
Bold hues highlight other fun floral shapes and water blasts from brightly coloured disks resembling mushrooms. The fun doesn’t stop at sundown, either. LED lights keep the party going after dark and make for a beautiful piece of artwork as the area becomes a lighted fountain performance.
These 20 playgrounds put to shame that wooden board tied to a rope in your backyard. They should also make you think about riding down a slide, playing in fountains and climbing walls. Who cares if you end up in a strait jacket?
So where’s your favourite playground? Do you use your children as an excuse to go to the park? Do you think it’s strange to climb on top of literary figures?
