10 Awesome Playgrounds That Will Make You Want To Be A Kid Again
5. Fossil Creek Park - Fort Collins, Colorado USA
Did you love dinosaurs as a child? Then you’ll love Fossil Creek Park in Fort Collins, Colorado. You enter the park beneath the gaping maw of a megalodon. There is a tarpits play area, which includes a model of a woolly mammoth that’s the perfect height to climb.
There’s also a fossil wall, a rib-cage shaped pavilion and climbing structures. The climbing structures don’t look like dinosaurs, but the mammoth is so awesome that you won’t care.
The park borders a wildlife-friendly lake that also features various fossilized structures. Fort Collins has also constructed a nearby dog park, restrooms and skate park. With the Brontosaurus coming back, this might just be the park for you. Rumors also exist that a local paleontologist even drops off real fossils for children to discover. Or adults.
