6. Sculpture Park - Wiesbaden, Germany
Ingenious planning turned a simple park into a climbable piece of public art in Wiesbaden, Germany. Architects Annabau designed a continuous climbing structure that snakes through trees and cycles through various elevations. The modernistic piece includes trampoline sections for jumping, low-level entrances and rubber pads for navigating across netting.
The sculpture is also in a pentagonal shape, harkening back to the historical shape of Wiesbaden. It’s 35 meters in diameter and in some places cantilevered to a dizzying 15 meters. Hold on to your hat!
The vibrant green sculpture surrounds moulded hills in sand for quieter activities, and allows for plenty of area to roam.
