Many of the conversations you come across during Hot Ones are light-hearted and often humorous, especially when comedians join the fray. However, that wasn't exactly the case whenever Jeff Ross stopped by for a chat with host Sean Evans.

Ross expressed how he felt few people needed to be entertained more than the troops overseas. With that in mind, he once visited the Middle East to perform for his fellow countrymen, but things didn't go quite as planned.

The hotel he was supposed to stay in was struck by a mortar shell, even though Ross was told they were in a safe zone. Floors above and below his intended room were completely blown out by the attack, and the incident left him absolutely "rattled." Worse, even though the mortar blast wrecked the hotel, it was still the safest place out there for the entertainer to stay.

He ended up going back to the hotel later on, but Ross admitted he couldn't sleep, as he constantly worried another shell was going to drop at some point during the night. Although a traumatizing event, Ross proved just how dedicated he was to the gig, and no matter what, he was determined to keep his word and perform in front of the soldiers.
