Written with 'younger readers in mind', A Hat Full of Sky was published in 2004. This book features before seen characters such as the Nac Mac Feegle and Tiffany Aching from the previously mentioned book, The Wee Free Men.

As a book focusing around the magical aspects of the Discworld, A Hat Full of Sky follows on from the story of The Wee Free Men. Now a young witch trying to come to terms with the world of magic, Tiffany Aching, is taken on as an apprentice by the witch, Miss Level. However, this opportunity is soon turned into a nightmare when Tiffany's mind and body is possessed by a mystical creature called a Hiver, causing Tiffany to watch as a bystander in her own body, while the Hiver reeks havoc.

With help from the Nac Mac Feegle, especially Rob Anybody, Tiffany must fight the Hiver from the inside to regain control of her body. This original story line is fuelled by trust between characters and the ever-growing momentum which leads to a brilliant conclusion.
