No, trust me, they don't. What this is is shorthand for "I'm a filterless douche." There's this thing called tact which they don't have. Don't try and spin it as if it's a positive. I appreciate honesty as much as the next person, but there are limits that should be observed in mature conversation. Simply saying whatever comes to mind, without giving thought to how others may take it, is going to get them in trouble, not in a relationship. Save that "brutal honesty" for when someone actually asks for it.
