Many people experience nightmares of post-apocalyptic scenarios - whether it be after an asteroid has hit the Earth and wiped out most of the life on the planet, whether a massive natural disaster has taken place all over the planet, whether it's a war-ravaged Earth enduring a nuclear winter or whether there's a zombie virus epidemic sweeping the globe, end of the world type scenarios aren't at all rare to see in dreams. To dream about such things is generally believed to mean that you are enduring tremendous amounts of stress in real life. You may be feeling vulnerable, helpless, snowed-under or bullied and feel as if there's no way out of said situation and, as such, your feelings are manifesting as extreme nightmares about much larger scale issues. Dreams of this nature are also said to represent the end of a major chapter of your life. Perhaps your vocation is changing, perhaps a relationship is coming to an end or perhaps someone close to you has passed away - essentially, apocalyptic dreams could be a metaphor for something in your world ending.
