10 Common Nightmares That Everyone Has

3. Falling

Surely, nobody can say they've never had a dream about falling? That horrible moment in your sleep when you're just about to hit the ground after a plummet from a great height and you wake up - sometimes even bolt upright - just before the impact is a horrible experience and one that is said to represent yet another negative occurrence in life. Apparently, falling is symbolic of the fact that you are caving in under some kind of pressure and can evoke reactions such as a complete loss of control or euphoric exhilaration that provides a get up and go for you - and it's said that your reaction to your fall in your dream is reminiscent of the reaction you will have to your pressurised situation in your actual life. Although we've also mentioned the meaning of drowning in dreams as being similar to the meaning of being trapped in dreams, it is also said that falling and drowning in dreams can be metaphorical of the same real life situations.
