4. Have (Safe) Sex With A Multitude Of Strangers

ShowtimeApparently sleep sex, or sexsomnia, is not as uncommon as youd think. A fair number of cases have been reported in the press over the last decade or so, including several instances where this particular sleep disorder has been used as a legal defense in cases of sexual harassment and assault. Ordinarily, cases of sexsomnia involve sleeping movements involving sexual arousal while asleep, and can be brought on by epilepsy, drink or drugs, or even stress. However, one reported case took this to unconscious extremes. Australian doctor and sleep expert Peter Buchanan told of an unnamed patient, a happily attached middle-aged woman, who would regularly leave the house at night while sleepwalking and have sex with strangers. The woman was apparently completely unaware of her actions until her partner caught her in the act, having become suspicious after several months of finding mysterious condom wrappers around the house. Were going to go out on a limb and say that the ladys partner must have been a) a very trusting individual and b) a seriously sound sleeper.
