10 Dumbest Things In Harry Potter And The Cursed Child
3. Draco’s Timely Reveal Of A Second Time-Turner
Of all the plot conveniences in The Cursed Child, this is the worst one.
After multiple ventures into the past and several alternative realities, Albus and Scorpius find themselves trapped in 1981 without any means of returning to the present. The two of them then send a message into the future via a combination of Harry’s blanket and a substance known as Tincture of Demiguise.
This alone is rather far-fetched, but the story sinks even lower when Draco conveniently reveals he has a spare Time-Turner. This pronouncement is followed by a feeble explanation involving Theodore Nott and Draco’s father that raises more questions than it answers.
Given how naturally the original stories flowed, such a manufactured story beat feels totally out of place.
