4. Calf Raises

Stand with your feet about hip-width apart, toes pointing forwards. Keep your body upright, without locking the knees. Push your body weight slightly forwards as you begin to rise up onto your toes. Hold it at the top for two to five seconds, then gently lower back into the starting position.
Easy Workout: As with the different crunches, these three exercises can be combined to create a quick, simple routine for working your legs. Simply do ten reps each of squats, lunges, or calf raises, in any order, with a short break at the end. Repeat this three times if you're a beginner, five if you're intermediate, and up to ten if you're advanced.
Make It Harder: The other great thing about these leg exercises is that it's easy to make them more challenging. The above video shows how you can use a step to increase the range of movement. Holding a pair of dumbbells or a medicine ball will increase the amount of work your leg muscles will have to do for the movement.
