10 Famous People Who Have Killed Someone

4. Snoop Dogg (1993)

Tupac Shakur may have been shot and killed in September 1996, but fellow rapper Snoop Dogg was arrested in connection with the death pf Phillip Woldermariam in August 1993. While recording his album "Doggystyle", Snoop Dogg's bodyguard McKinley Lee shot and killed Woldermariam - a member of a rival gang to their Rollin' 20 Crips in Eastside of Long Beach, California - and the pair were arrested and charged with murder. Both were acquitted during the trial, however, on the grounds of self-defence - but Snoop Dogg remained in constant legal battles for three years before it was cleared. Snoop Dogg even provided the music for a short film about his trial - "Murder Was The Case" - which was released in 1994, and it was not until February 1996 that he was finally acquitted of murder. Due to the fact Snoop Dogg was acquitted, he has been able to release such hits as "Wiggle", "No Guns Allowed" and "Smokin' On" - and the man, whose original name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, has helped to revolutionise the hip-hop and gangsta raps musical genres.
