10 Genius Apps To Make You A Better Adult

1. Save Your Money: Digit

Possibly the most difficult part of adulting is resisting the urge to spend all of your money on beer and Lord of the Rings figurines, and actually saving it instead. It's one of life's cruel ironies that, once you get old enough to earn some money, you have to do boring things with it.

Digit is a service that lets you save money without having to think about it. It will generally contact you once or twice a week via text to pull small amounts of money out of your regular account. It uses an algorithm to monitor your spending and earning habits, so that it never takes out more than you can afford or would even notice.

All transfers are put into a secure, insured saving account and you can transfer money back whenever you want. Digit is currently only available in the US, but with any luck it will be rolling out worldwide soon enough.

The Digit account doesn't earn interest, so you'll want to transfer your savings kinda sharpish, but at least it will protect at least some of your paycheck from turning into video games and chicken nuggets.

To adulthood!
