After attending church during the day of Halloween in 2010, teenager Devon Griffin returned to his Martin, Ohio home to a horrific sight. Upon opening the front door, he came across the corpses of his mother Susan, her new husband William Liske and his brother Derek. All had received blunt force trauma to the head, and in a 911 call Griffin was so traumatised that he claimed it was like "something out of a haunted house." It turned out that the murderer was William Liske's son from another marriage, William Liske Jr. He had a history of violence and schizophrenia, and pleaded guilty to the three murders.
