6. You Can Catch Chlamydia From A Koala Bear

These cute little fluff-balls have a common STD that can be spread to humans. No, not that way. Chlamydia is a common sexually transmitted disease among humans, and a different strain infects koalas; with devastating effects on their immune system. Numbers of koalas are plummeting and the survival of the species is under threat, with infection rates as high as 90% in some parts of Australia. People enjoy picking up the precious fuzzy bears, and like any wild tree-dwellers, koalas don€™t care where they wee. This is something you never want to explain to a doctor.
