6. A CIA Plot
Though the sheer litany of conspiracy theories surrounding Kennedy's assassination tend to contradict each other and range from the absurd to the intriguing, all agree on one theme - that a government agency orchestrated the murder. One of the most popular theories out there is that the CIA were responsible in some form, due to Lee Harvey Oswald's alleged past involvement with the agency. John M. Newman, a former US. Army Intelligence officer, claimed in 1995 that the CIA knew Oswald posed a credible threat to the life of the President but failed to alert authorities in Dallas. Even if Oswald was the lone gunman, according to this theory, the CIA could and should have prevented him from pulling that trigger.
