10 Joe Rogan Experience Guests Who Have Died

4. John Witherspoon (1942 - 2019)

John Witherspoon's name might not instantly ring a bell, but he's a guy who pops up in a number of well known comedy classics. His most famous performance was in the 1995 stoner comedy Friday, playing the most deplorable of father figures. Constantly on Ice Cube's back about something or another, his appearances were marked by his near constant consumption of food or his predilection for taking dumps in the presence of his family.

Witherspoon was also a big hitter on the comedy scene back in the '70s and '80s. It's not difficult to see why he was so highly respected by his peers; listening to his Rogan appearance it's obvious he had a gift for storytelling. This guy was running around with Richard Pryor back in the day. This was at the height of Pryor's fame when, among other people, Sammy Davis Jr. would turn up at his house, dressed to the nines and hang out.

If you want to be enthralled by some of the most engaging stories from those days then check out John Witherspoon's appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience (episode 1305).
