We all like being in photographs. The Queen must be the most photographed person in the world.

She herself is a keen photographer (an interest shared by her third child Prince Andrew). Her picture has appeared on cards, satchels, clocks, badges, wrapping paper, hats, keyrings, plates, every item of clothing imaginable, posters, bags, skateboards even iPhone cases to name just a fraction of items. Of course she also appears on the postage stamps and bank notes and coins of all the countries where she is Queen or Head of State.

She has sat for 139 official portraits and in 2003 Her Majesty sat for the first ever royal hologram portrait. If all the above wasn€™t enough there have been 11 sculptures, the most recent by in 2005 for St. George€™s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

I am a 60 year old Englishman living in Thailand. Recently retired after eight years as a teacher, time laid heavily on my shoulders. Even living in paradise, the beach and bars can become too familiar. I decided to try my hand at content writing and, after slow start it is beginning to bear fruit. Admittedly the money involved is small but then again, you can live in Sotheast Asia very cheaply and still enjoy life. I have spent a great deal of my life travelling around the globe having been bitten by wonderlust at an early age.
