10 Lesser Known Stephen King Villains
2. The Crimson King (The Dark Tower Series And Others)
Lots of people fear spiders, so it's rather fitting that King's ultimate antagonist is an ancient half-spider, half-human hybrid intent on collapsing the multiverse in order to reign over the primordial chaos that will follow.
The Crimson King, also know as the Lord of Spiders to some and Satan others, is behind the evil doings of many a King villain, conspiring from the shadows in order to achieve his goal of destroying the Dark Tower, the linchpin of all existence. His powers include shape-shifting, incredible physical strength, and mastery of the mystic arts.
The King is the son of Arthur Eld, a human, and the Crimson Queen, a demon, and his machinations have plagued numerous realities. He is the heir to the todash darkness, the space between worlds which all of King's monsters can be traced back to. Randall Flagg, the taheen, the Can-toi, vampires... all answer to him. And if he gets his way, reality will, too.
