10 Magic Tricks That Went Disastrously Wrong Live

4. Magician Drinks Acid By Mistake

Though Sambuca does feel like it's burning up your insides, most of us probably haven't necked a shot of acid and lived to tell the tale.

Well, this guy has - and he did it in front of a packed studio audience. Incredible skills.

While appearing in the semi-final round of Vietnam's Got Talent, magician Tran Tan Phat performed a trick involving five identical shot glasses - four filled with water, one filled with acid. The idea was that he'd guess which glasses were safe to drink, consuming the four shots of water while leaving the acid untouched.

He drank the first shot - water - with no issues, but his second beverage was nearly fatal.

Tan Phat can be seen taking a swig of his second shot before realizing it's acid, and quickly spitting it out onto the table. The audience and the judges know something has gone wrong, but since Tan Phat appears fine, they applaud him on, compelling him to finish up his performance.

Shortly after, Tan Phat rushes off stage and is sent to a nearby hospital. He was treated for second-degree burns on his lips and the inside of his mouth.
