10 Magic Tricks That Went Disastrously Wrong Live
3. Man Sets His Face On Fire
Magicians don't seem to give fire enough credit. If they're not shooting themselves with flaming arrows, they're drinking kerosene or clambering into a box that's set to go up in flames.
But fire is a beast that's hard to tame, and these things can, and do, go wrong.
For proof, look no further than Scott Wolf, an unfortunate magician who suffered some serious second and third-degree burns while performing a dangerous fire-centric trick.
Wolf was supposed to take a mouthful of kerosene, hold two fiery torches, and blow the flames away from his face. Instead, he took a mouthful of kerosene, held two fiery torches, and set his own face on fire. Yep.
It's not clear how or why this went wrong, but Wolf can be seen dashing around the stage as his head is engulfed in flames. Members of the audience can be heard screaming - understandably - as the music stops and the act ends.
Wolf will remember this traumatic experience for the rest of his life, if not for the physical pain he endured, then for the big hit his confidence must have taken.
